William and Agnes were married 19 years at the time of the 1910 Census.  The census notes that Agnes had three children and they were all alive at that time. We only have info on the two children that were listed on the census.  It appears William and Agnes started their family late in life.

Several of the letters written to William's mother, Harriet Deuel Swayze, refer to William when he was a baby.  His daughter, Mildred visited our family in California in the late 50's or early 60's.  A more recent note from a niece, Mary Hughes of Cooperstown, said she had two of grandpa's spoons Uncle Bill had given my mother (his sister, Molly Ann Harris).   Molly Ann Harris probably divided items with her children. One of our cousins, daughter of Edith McAnally, said that she has eating utensils of Cashaday Swayze from the Civil War.  Mary Hughes also mentions that she and Uncle Bill were going to go to Ireland in search of a family castle which was returned to the crown  in payment for taxes.
