He died at the Iowa Soldier's home, Marshalltown, Iowa, March 28, 1908.
His brother Francis was at his bedside when he died.
He married Feb. 14, 1883 at Boone, Iowa by Milt Logan, J.P. to
Katherine Hurst, daughter of James Jacob Hurst and Susan Messmore.
He enlisted: May 31, 1864, as a Private in Co. D, 140 th Illinois Infanty.
