Updated: November 26, 2003
Antoinette Nowlan, wife of Truman Nowlan, wrote several letters to her cousin, Harriet Deuel. The letters were dated 1862/1864, Pony Hollow, New York. Truman plays the fiddle. One letter was written to Harriet's sister, Sally Ann, dated 1850, Elmira, NY. We do not know parents of Antoinette to determine family connection. Pony Hollow is a hamlet in the S.W. part of the town of Newfield.

Henrietta Nowlan, born about 1857, married Eugene Harvey. They had at least two children, Geneviere & Earl. I have been unable to find them in any census through Heritage Quest. It's possible that her parents could be living with them 1900 Census or even with John or Augusta if I knew where to look.
The Social Security Index has several with the name of Earl Harvey. One was born Feb. 10, 1904, died April 1986, Elmira, Chemung, NY and is buried Rural Home Cemetery, Big Flats, NY. There are 5 Harvey listings for Lot BE 22, Cora, Darling, Delos, Earl, & Frances Drake. This Earl is the son of Delos and Rose Harvey and enumerated on the 1910 NY Census, Elmira. Darling and Francis Harvey are there as well.
