GEORGE SUTFIN

George Sutfin was a nephew of Harriet Deuel.  His mother, Aldula, was Harriet's sister.  His father, Nathaniel Douglas Sutfin, also served in the Civil War and died on his way home from the hospital. 

George Sutfin married Mary Ellen Smiley.  In a letter from James Deuel writen to his parents, Morgan & Lydia Deuel, James included a note to Mary Ellen Smiley.  James did not return home from the war.  George's mother, Aldula, was the sister of James.

Applied for pension May 15, 1915, he was 70 years old. He and his wife, Mary,
were still living in Dryden, NY.

Father, Nathaniel Sutfin, served 15 months before discharged due to illness.
Died on way home.
